DE&I Mission Statement

BMS is committed to advancing and preserving a culture of diversity and belonging across all levels of our company and supplier base. A diverse culture makes us a stronger, more innovative company. Diversity greatly benefits our employees, our clients, and our community.

BMS DEI Committee

BMS launched a formal DE&I committee in 2022. The Committee’s objectives have an immediate impact in the four key areas of supplier diversity, employee training, staff diversity and inclusion, and community outreach.

Supplier Diversity

BMS’s supplier diversity program requires new and existing suppliers to provide data regarding their diversity status. Having diverse suppliers strengthens our supply chain, increases innovation, benefits our clients, and is good for the community at large.

Employee Training

BMS wants to ensure a safe and equitable workplace for all employees. The DE&I Committee is tasked with evolving the company’s DE&I training and strengthening organizational understanding at all levels.

Staff Diversity and Inclusion

BMS is leading the way in hiring, retaining, and promoting talented employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We are proud of our diversity statistics from the top down.

Not only do we hire diverse staff, but we actively engage to create a culture of inclusion, understanding, and celebration of diversity.

Community Outreach

BMS's goal is to align with charitable organizations that support the needs of women, racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, and veterans. Examples include Project Cicero, supporting underfunded schools in New York, and Women Giving Back, providing support for women in need in Washington D.C. This initiative will continue to expand in 2023.
